Getting to know you!

I’m so excited to meet all of my new followers. I would love to know more about all of you. So I'm going to play a little getting to know you game! I hope all of you will play with me. I got the idea from my new friend Tiffany over at Killing Time!

So here are the questions, just leave a comment to answer as many of them as you would like to share with me!

1. Your name
2. Where are you from? you don't have to say the specific town if you don't want.
3. Your blog address? (if you have one)
4. Your etsy store address? (if you have one)
5. What type of crafting do you do? (quilting, sewing, scrapbookin
g, jewelry, etc.)Which is your favorite?

6. What would you like to see more of here on Fabric Junkie?

7. One last question that has nothing to do with crafting. Do you have any pets? If so I would love to hear what they are and about them!

I’ll answer them for y’all to see!

I’m Christine and I’m from Texas! I live in a hip little town just north of Houston called The Woodlands. I am a blogger here at Fabric Junkie and I have an etsy account but I have not converted it into a shop yet. I started scrapbooking many years ago which moved into creating greeting cards. In August of 2010 I learned to sew and began work on my first quilt. I absolutely love quilting but I also really like doing smaller sewing projects because they give me more immediate satisfaction. Some might say that I lack patience! Here is a photo of my favorite quilt that I have made: To answer the last question it is also going to require a picture! I absolutely love animals and think that they are a wonderful addition for families!

So this is my beautiful basset hound Abby. She is my spoiled rotten angel!

I look forward to reading all of your answers! Please feel free to repost this on your blog!

  2. OMG Christine, I LOVE your sock monkey quilt! That is amazing!
I am also an instant gratification girl, I like those quick easy projects, if it takes me more than a day or two I quickly lose interest.

Since I've already covered #s 1-4, I'll answer the rest.
    5. Mostly sewing, I collect supplies for all types of crafts, but sewing is what I love and what gives me the greatest satisfaction when something turns out the way I had hoped and planned! It also gives me the most frustration when it just isn't turning out the way I had envisioned, ;)!!
    6. I like what I see! I love hearing about new fabrics.
    7. No we don't have any pets. We did have a yellow lab not long ago, Roscoe, but we rent and our landlord doesn't allow pets. But we were lucky and found him a great family and home to go to not far from where we live.

  5. Hi I'm Madison, & I currently live in Wyoming, but I'm originally from good ol' SOUTHEAST GEORGIA :) I recently starting blogging at www.raisingrueben.blogspot.com , where I blog about my life, raising my son, crocheting & soon to be learning to sew. I don't have an etsy account yet, but I sell my creations at www.facebook.com/mh.stitchesoflove . I love to crochet, & like I said before, I hope to learn to sew soon! I don't actually have a pet right now :( because while my fiance goes to school, our apartment won't let us have one! But I do have a Netherland Dwarf rabbit that lives with my mom back in GA--can't wait to get her back!

  7. Hi, my name is Jamie and I'm born and raised and now raising my own kids in beautiful Southern Maryland. I have a blog at www.thebusybeequiltshop.blogspot.com and shops on Etsy and Artfire called the same. I started sewing 5 years ago--I learned in a class through Parks and Rec. Some of the greatest baby shower gifts I received when I was pregnant were handmade gifts and that is what inspired me to learn. And I have two loving chocolate point Siamese cats named Mickey and Maggie. I have really enjoyed reading your blog and what I like to see best are finished projects and inspiration for things I could make.

  9. Hi I'm Emily I'm the mother of three boys so we don't really need pets around here. I'm sure we will end up with one eventually though. I live in Dallas and my blog address is emilysanity.blogspot.com. I love to scrapbook, make jewelry, and do some quilting, sewing, and occasionally will try a craft that I find works for our family. I have an etsy shop but it's empty right now I had a baby back in October of last year and just found it was to hard to keep it going. Hoping to eventually get back to it. Nice to meet you.

  10. What a fun idea!, my name is Tyra, I live in the Santa Cruz area of California but really, I'm a Washingtonian still in my heart. My blog address is www.silverlilysews.blogspot.com and my etsy shop is www.silverlilysews.etsy.com and I would say I am primarily a quilter but I like to do other sewing crafty stuff. I just like to make stuff. I am really enjoying your blog! And I don't have any pets. My two little boys keep me so busy I can't imagine adding a pet to the mix! Although growing up I always had a dog and a cat and I think my older boy would think he died and went to heaven if we let him get a kitten. Someday...
