More Halloween bags and Ghost S'mores

It's been a Halloween sewing weekend. I have spent the entire weekend in my sewing room but I finished 3 more treat bags.

I was hoping to get another three more done before Halloween. I am going to finish one more and the other two will have to wait until next year. One of them is for a one year old in my family so he will get it next year when he can trick treat. The other one is for a co-workers future nephew.

I also made these Ghost S'mores for the men in my office. We take turns booing them everyday in October.
Have a Happy Halloween everyone!

It's been a while since I've posted. I've been busy sewing. These little Halloween treat bags are one of the many projects I've been working on.

They are for my co-workers children and grandchildren.

Have a Happy Halloween!

Applique Embroidery Designs

I've been very busy lately playing with my embroidery machine.

Some towels for a coworker's kids bathroom:

A birthday gift:
Birthday gifts for a friends little boy:

I asked my husband to get a gift bag and this what I ended up with. LOL, boys will be boys!

And lastly his birthday shirt for his sports themed party:

We were running late so I grabbed it out of the dryer without ironing it.

I can't wait to play some more. I'm learning so much about doing embroidery.
Have a fantastic week!

I  had such a fun Memorial Day Weekend including some of my favorites things - swimming and sewing. A friend of mine came over on Saturday night and I helped her make the Amy Butler Birdie Sling bag. I also finished the Abby bag by V & Co. I have already gotten a few compliments on it! It’s a really fun bag for the summer.

I got this fabulous Amy Butler fabric at my favorite little quilt shop – Quilters Crossing in Tomball, Texas. Here’s their website.

Hope everyone is enjoying their last few days of Spring. Sadly here in Texas it has been unofficially summer since the beginning of May. I think it’s going to be a long hot summer for us.

Have a fantastic day!

UFO's done

I’m a little behind on this post. But I still wanted to share with y'all some of my recently finished projects.

These three towels I made with my new Babylock. They were Easter gifts for family members.

I also made this t-shirt for a friend’s little girl. She was turning 2 and having a princess party.

This last project is from the Serendipity class at my favorite little quilt shop – Quilter’s Crossing with my favorite instructor Margaret Grice. We are making a different bag every month from the book Serendipity Bags byKay Whitt.

Have a fantastic day!

Meet my Baby!

I've been having so much fun with my new baby. She also does embroidery. Which I'm loving. My first project on her is a quilt for my living room.

It's displayed on my new design wall that my husband helped me make last weekend. The pattern I used is the Snuggly Layer Cake Throw found on the Moda Bake Shop. I used mostly Heather Bailey fabric but also added a little bit of Amy Butler fabric.
The back of this quilt is Snuggle fabric which makes it perfect to cuddle up on the couch with. In order to finish it I have to wait for our JoAnn's to reopen in a few weeks to get some snuggle backing for it. They closed our old JoAnn's and they are opening a new one 4x the size of the old one. I can't wait to finish this quilt so I can use it while lounging on the couch searching on pinterest!
