It's finally here......

Look what came in the mail today! My husband ordered it for me from Amazon for Valentine's Day and I had some what forgotten about it till I got a shipping confirmation!

OMG there isn't a single pattern in this book that I don't want to make! I'm so excited to start diving into them!

On another note I thought once I got out of school I would be able to sew and blog tons but I under estimated the amount of time finding a job would take. But I'm hoping to start catching up on sewing projects and blogging again soon! Now I have new book to get me motivated.

Have a great week!

I've missed you and big pattern sale!

Hi y'all! I have missed all of you soooo much! I have also missed sewing. Shhhhhh don't tell anyone but......I did sneak some sewing time in yesterday afternoon for about an hour. I just needed some time to relax and sewing helps me do that! The good news is that I'm on the home stretch!

I took some time earlier this week to take advantage of the 50% off Pattern Sale at The Fat Quarter Shop. After a VERY long day today I came home to find my package had come in. Talk about a cheer up, it's like Christmas in April! Here's what I got:

I've had my eye on most of these patterns for a while and they have been sitting in my Amazon wish list for months. So I decided to splurge and get them since
A: They where on sale
B: I have been doing so well finishing up all my school stuff for graduation
Soo I felt I deserved a treat!

I think you deserve a treat too! So head over to Fat Quarter Shop and get yourself some fun new on sale patterns to add to your collection.

I hope to be back to blogging full time again soon! But until then I'll be thinking of all of you and wishing I was sewing one of these great new patterns!

Bernina or Baby Lock?

I've got to start saving my pennies. I have my eye on this baby:

Or maybe this baby:I am really interested in learning how to do embroidery. I have a friend who has the Bernina Bernette Deco 340 and she loves it. She says it is great to carry to class because the arm goes into the machine with a push of a button so you do not have to worry about hauling it around and breaking it.

I also like the Baby Lock it is so pretty and I have heard great things about the company. But the disadvantage is that you are required to take the arm off and carry it with you which could result in breaking it which would keep the machine from working. An advantage is that it has a larger sewing field but with that comes a larger price.

So I'm going to start saving my pennies and hopefully have enough money by the Fall Quilt Festival in Houston (I'm so lucky to live 30 mins away) so I can get one of these beauties. That way I can play with both of them under one roof and decide which one I like better!

If you have any experiences with either of these embroidery machines please let me know!
