Baby Shower weekend!

So we have made it through the first weekend of exciting events. On Saturday we had a friends baby shower. Since I was helping to throw the shower I was responsible for the games. So it gave me the opportunity to pull out my Pink Lady (Bosskut Gazelle) to make the game sheets and banner. We played 'What's in your Purse' and of course the toilet paper mommy measurement game. I also tried a new game out "Baby Present Bingo." Everyone really like this game so we are going to do it again for the next shower in two weeks. The winners of these games got to pick out a gift for the mommy to be and got a mason jar cookie mix for themselves. These cookies are delicious. They are oatmeal, chocolate chip, m&m cookies....Yummmm all my favorites!
The recipe is called Cowgirl Cookies and it's from Bakerella the recipe can be found here.

I also finished my gifts for little Blake. It was my first time to try applique. I think they came out okay for my first time. I wish I had more time to try it out a few more times before giving them away. Luckily the Mommy is also a beginner sewing so I think she understands.
Another friend made the cake and the diaper cake. I just loved this sloppy kisser bib!
These pacifiers where adorable too and a great idea! I'm sorry I don't know where she got the recipe.
So now I have to concentrate on finishing my Funky Monkey Quilt it goes to it's new home in less then two weeks! Next weekend is one of my best friends weddings. I'm so excited for her and her fiance. I am privileged to be a bridesmaid! Have a great Sunday and a good week!
